You guys might’ve noticed that I haven’t posted for a while, which might have seemed quite odd, especially now that the RAM album finally dropped.

The reason is simple, I didn’t want to overhype the album for myself and ruin the experience, so I patiently waited for my vinyl to arrive before I gave the album a listen. Whiskey and friends were had and I have to say, the album left mixed but overall positive feelings.

What do you guys think of the album? Want me to write a proper review? Anyways, time for some tunes.

This is just in, six minutes ago Daft Punk shared their new update on their website! It’s an 8 minute long video featuring Giorgio Moroder who features on their upcoming album. If you were excited about the release, maybe this will help with the waiting or do just the opposite. Anyways, definitely worth the watch!

Remix Wednesday

Yo what is up people? Just quickly stopping by and sharing a bunch of new cool tunes that are out!

First off the bat, a new cool Daft Punk remix of an oldie by our very own Rico Tubbs. As always, it’s some top notch moombah from this fellow.

Next up a hot new remix of Van Jets’ Broken Bones by Blende. This is some hot disco stuff, if you’ve never heard synths having sex, this is pretty much it.

Dillon Francis also remixed Passion Pit. Passion Pit’s Carried Away was one of the most interesting music videos I’ve seen all year and I liked the song a lot too. The remix bears little resemblance to the original while still being extraordinarily good. It’s tagged as moombahton but I’d say it’s more acid influenced. Reminds me a bit of the Prodigy mixed with more popular music. Good stuff anytho!

I really love Haezer. I’d spoon him into the sunset if I ever got the chance (no homo). Especially now when he released a new free original tune called Shango. It debuted on Trashbags earlier this week and now it’s up on SoundCloud so I guess you should know about it :)

No, not reall RAM, sorry. Unless you live in the desert, surely you’ve heard that Daft Punk is coming out with a new album. They actually released a few teasers from it and a date. The album will be called Random Access Memories.

Anyways, the snippets from their album have been all around the interwebs by now. Small wonder, they sound great

I knew someone had to do a remix of one of the tunes (I know I wanted) and before I knew, Dream Logic had already released his rendition of the duo’s new masterpiece. It’s on SoundCloud and the Hype Machine for you guys to love and download. Take the chance and grab the tune.
