Modisound is a name you’ve likely never heard of, just 84 followers on SoundCloud but I think they deserve at least as many as Moullinex or Mr. Oizo  have. Their sound is very disco like and professional. I’m not sure how long the duo has been together making funk but I seriously do wish to hear a lot more from them.

I’m dancing around this room and my parents-in-law look at me like I’ve gone mad. Maybe I have but at least I can say that BEAT IT TO YA MR.TOOMANYSEBASTIANS!

Right mates, last post was a bit out of the comfort zone so let’s get back to the oh so good complextro which we all enjoy. Noize Tank (previously Keyboard Kidd) sent me one electro remix of Kanye’s Touch The Sky, you know. The old tune that played on MTV pretty much on repeat. Well he turned that into a banger

But you know what? I think his original tune, Running With Scissors (which is a very odd name for a complex tune) is beautiful. Nice melodies, chopped up beats. It follows every rule in the handbook of epic tunes. It’s just simply well done and sounds great. Free downloads all around!

Since I posted on Reddit mentioning my willingness to listen and post the best songs people submitted to me, I got flooded with a few dozen of replies within the first hours. I’m still writing people back even tho It’s been almost a day now haha.

Some of you might know, but I’ve been a Redditor for about nine months now and I have to say that the musical community there is just plain awesome. /r/edmproduction and /r/wearethemusicmakers have the nicest people and they’re always up to giving advice and critics. Well it’s my time to give back to them and promote a few of my fellow Redditors :) This is the first post of many!

Tequila Mockingbird just hit me up with a track of his. It’s dubstep, but not your generic wubwub drop wubwub, it’s more calm and controlled. I really like the rhythms in the growl, reminds me of old Mario music or something haha. Anyhow, it’s a very cool song and don’t forget to check out Tequila Mockingbird’s Soundcloud.

So, here I am. Sitting in my bedroom/studio after cleaning this up for an hour or so, just listening to music, drawing in photoshop. I’m bored and I think “what on earth should I do?” then I remembered I have a blog haha, so time for my bi-monthly update :) just kidding!

Last week, Lemaitre released their EP, Relativity on iTunes. Haven’t bought it yet but as you know, Lemaitre is awesome, so what could go wrong? They also gave out an extended version of one of the tracks on the EP, so I’ll just post that alongside another tune of theirs I haven’t posted here yet :) Enjoy.
