Derezzed Rework by Bright Shades

Well well well, look what the cat dragged in, a brand new rework of Daft Punk’s tune “Derezzed” from the movie Tron. The rework is made by a Finnish duo called Bright Shades who run their own radio show on the Basso channel here in Finland. This tune is an excellent example of why I should be proud of the finnish electro artists, this rework is absolutely top notch and will rock your socks.

Also keep an eye open for their debut EP that should come out any day now. Thanks to Too Many Osawas for featuring this tune first!

I saw the movie Tron last week at the local movie theater and I actually liked it quite much. My friends weren’t that excited about it but imo the movie was visually stunning and it had the best soundtrack I’ve heard up to this date. I had heard some tracks from the OST before seeing the movie but they worked a whole lot better in the movie than what I had imagined.

Breakdown dropped a remix of the song “Derezzed” (easily my favourite part of the movie when Daft Punk played it) and I’ve meant to post this since last month but for some reason I’ve postponed it again and again. Well, now that Disney actually used their remix for an official trailer, I really have no excuse to not post this, especially when Breakdown described it like this:

Breakdown got caught up in all this Daft Punk, Tron & Disney Mania so decided they needed to rip Derezzed a new asshole. This one is a 50Hz explosion in your face!!! The stabs and tech percussion drive harder then a road raging redneck in an 18 wheeler and with a massive drop like this, your dance floor better be equipped with airbags!

Heyhey yoyo sorry for the lack of posts again ;__; Once a week ain’t enough, yeah I know. But I’m busy! Haha but you know what? There’s been some interesting stuff going on in the scene for a while. Some blogs have been hyping ’bout Daft Punks new track “The Crash” and Justice’s “Beginning of the end”, but I refused to post ‘em ’cause there wasn’t any proof of them being legit. And you know what? THEY WEREN’T.

The hype ’bout the new Justice began when the track was send to several blogs (including this) via email from promo@edbangerrecords.com which sounds pretty legit eh? The track itself is pretty Justice-like, a bit simple and awkward compared to the real thing but apparently it ain’t that hard to copy his style. Ed Banger though said that the track ain’t legit, so fake it is then.

Well how about Daft Punk then? This one is even more hilarious. Kanye managed to screw up again, and posted this track @ his blog by posting this track he claimed to be Daft Punks new song from the soundtrack of the movie Tron. Well, actually the song is Pilotpriest’s new track Body Double, and it’s already buyable via iTunes. This is actually confirmed by the head manageress of Calamity Jane Recordings, aka. Dani Deahl herself.
