Usually I’m no big fan of dutch tunes, except for some bangers like Bangkok or the new Rihanna remix by Paul David and Barletta, which is totally awesome. That’s why I’m doing this post and I’m giving out a 320 for you guys to love : )

YAKPR Wtf? Well I’m lazy so I’ll just say this once, Yet Another Katy Perry Remix. I’ve seen a bunch. Most of them suck, but every once in a while I find some great ones too. Guessing who this time? Well, if you guessed Barletta, ding ding we have a winner.
Barletta has a special skill, turning boring tracks into listenable tunes and this remix is pretty much the best you can get from this chap. Way better than the original if you ask me =)

The first time I heard Katy Perry’s California Gurls, I said to my friends that it’s just like Ke$ha’s Tik Tok. DJ Placeboing proves me right, he made an awesome mashup of the two tracks. Worth checking out =)

I guess most of you aren’t familiar with SoundCloud, but basically it’s a place where artists can upload their track and spread them out on blogs etc with its smart mediaplayer. It’s a place where even I get spammed in the inbox with tracks which is actually quite nice (= just keep them tracks coming. These tracks I’ll show you today are my newest finds on SoundCloud *cracks knuckles* awright, let’s get started! 
Barletta will be my first artist tonight. He’s no new boy and I just realized that Dani has actually posted his tracks seventeen times on her blog ;o few times on El3ctroNight and even on Trashbags Kids. Quite popular, wouldn’t you say? His remix of The Island pt.2 caught my attention, since I didn’t realize that you can actually remix drum’n bass into fidget. But so he did and it’s awesome.

Second track is a very laidback remix of Katy Perry’s California Girls. Compared to the original, I gotta say that the remix beats it 100-0 and unlike the original, Barletta’s edit doesn’t sound like Ke€ha’s Tik Tok. Extra points to Barletta for keeping the Snoop Dog rap in the track =)

Barletta was no old boy and neither is Ikki. I remember when I made my first MySpace account, he wanted to befriend me there <3 it was like my first friend request there and I remember him only having remixes made of bands like AC/DC, Metallica etc. other metal bands. Now his tracks are a tad different from what they were then and I gotta say that I love this buy! Pope of Dope was already originally a great track but I love Ikki’s remix even more. The sidechaining makes a nice bumpy feeling and did I say that love the clap?
